The Junta de Andalucía's emergency platform is the authoritative source for reported forest fires and their status: active, stabilised, controlled or extinguished.
If you see smoke or flames, do not wait for an app alert. Call 112 and give the clearest location you can. Follow official instructions if an evacuation or confinement order is issued.
IF A FIRE STARTS
What to do
1
Call 112
Report what you can see and exactly where it is. Mention people at risk, blocked roads or other immediate dangers.
2
Follow official instructions
Use information from 112 Andalucía, INFOCA and local authorities. Do not rely on rumours or social-media speculation.
3
Leave early if instructed
Use the route authorities give you. Do not drive towards the fire, stop to watch it or block access needed by emergency vehicles.
4
Avoid dangerous terrain
If caught outdoors, move away from vegetation and the sides of the fire. Avoid ravines, hollows and escaping uphill when fire is climbing the slope.
If you are at home
Keep phones charged and official alerts audible.
Have identification, medication, water, keys and essential items ready.
Keep gardens and plots clear of accumulated dry vegetation.
Remove branches over roofs or close to chimneys as part of normal preparation.
If authorities tell you to evacuate or shelter, follow their instructions rather than improvising.
Prepare before fire season
Know more than one route away from your property.
Keep a torch, radio, small first-aid kit and important documents accessible.
Install the official 112 Andalucía app and enable location/notifications.
Make a plan for children, older relatives and pets.
Never light fires when conditions or restrictions make it unsafe or prohibited.
Wind changes can cause a fire to surround people unexpectedly. Never approach a wildfire to take photographs or video. Emergency instructions take priority over anything shown on this page or in an app.
